About me
Kia ora, I'm Mike Wilson. Before teaching Biology and Chemistry I studied Micro-organisms focusing on Gene expression at the University of Otago with a bit of Zoology on the side. I have always been facinated by Biology, expecially the processes of gene expression and modern technology linked to this.
I have been teaching for 16 years, in this time I have been a member of a NCEA marking panel for 10, SCT for 4, HOD for 4.
In the last 4 years I have been part of writing both online and paper resources for students New Zealand wide.
The site
This website was made to help all teachers and students in New Zealand understand and enjoy biology and of course help you pass your NCEA exams. It links to a variety of resources around the internet (by design) so I cannot guarantee everything is perfect but I have looked and thought 'that may help".

sciPAD have literally been the only people in NZ to support me in running this site for no return. Please buy their books and use them in your classrooms. They are excellent!
Hey that's my thing or thats a mistake!.
Highly likely - a lot of the resources have been passed on or gathered through teaching or teachers have contributed to the site. I have placed the name and gained permission where possible but send me an email if you want something removed./ fixed.
